Since tomorrow is Easter Sunday, and I will be busy preparing a brunch for my family in addition to going to mass, I decided to do today's and tomorrow's artwork at the same time. So, #54 is for Holy Saturday and 55 is for Easter Sunday.  Have a glorious Easter!

Saw a couple of friends post this saying on Facebook today (Good Friday) and thought it would be an appropriate verse for my artwork. It's from the Divine Mercy Chaplet. A version of prayers sung using the rosary....love it.

Yesterday's posting on Facebook brought a ton of responses...so much so that I offered to send prints to a couple of people. I am sure it is a favorite verse, and I think it turned out nicely....but it could also have been because it was already being sent out to someone:)

I've given away 42 so far. That's pretty good, I think. Looking for new people to give them to, a few friends have multiples...but I figure if it speaks to them, its better than sitting on my desk! Guess I forgot to post yesterday's (top). So here are the latest 2....Thinking about offering prints of these on my Five Dollar Market etsy site...where everything is $5. The originals have been given out for free...but I thought there may be alot of people who aren't a friend on Facebook or see my blog who may be interested in them. I know it sounds kind of backwards, but a few of the pieces garnered a lot of interest, so they may sell. It may take a week or so to get around to that, what with Easter coming up. I am, however, snowbound today..we got at least 10 inches of snow yesterday. It is such a joy to see! And although the roads etc are not bad, I prefer to see it from inside my warm house...unless I venture out to take photos:)

Supposedly "Do not be afraid" is the most repeated phrase in the bible....don't know exactly how many times. But why do we not listen to it? Seems we are always afraid of something.

I'm just so thankful that God didn't call me to be on that two week jury trial! Just to say thanks, I'm going to try to do more actual artwork today, because I feel that is one of the things I'm called to do.

Verse 4 of the Untitled Hymn by Chris Rice.....fits with today's cloudy cold day when they promised us 60's for a high today??! Part of my year long project of doing one piece of mini-art a day using faith based sayings and trying to give each of them away. I am sending them to anyone who wants one, or if they don't get chosen, they will go to the women on the next ACTS retreat in our parish:)

Fall on Jesus today. I seem to like these papers that have the swathes of color to write inside of. Just reworked some of my old papers to achieve this, but a lot of them didn't turn out that way . I think this one did. As usual, free to anyone who wants it. Yesterday I received some beautiful stamps in the mail from a recipient/friend who got one of my pieces...so thoughtful of her! And I can't wait to use them:)

You might be able to tell the weather in St. Louis by my saying choices lately. Yesterday it was bright and sunny and so was my artwork...today dark and dreary...Part of the problem today might be that I hadn't looked at the weather and expected it to be sunny because it is supposed to spring-like temps. Oh well, the earth needs a cleanse too, I guess.

This is helpful because NOBODY has the absence of trouble in their lives, right? Yet we can find peace if we look in the right place....

Can you find the difference? A friend pointed out to me (after I had already had these printed as notecards) that the original has a "typo". So, I fixed it on the computer and had it reprinted. Will use the "bad" ones as personal notecards when I write my love letters for my ACTS retreat:)

A full month done in my Year of Inspiration! (Well, the shortest month anyway!). I'm finding so many great sayings on Pinterest...and enjoying the time spent searching as well as lettering. I know that no one is reading this, but feel drawn to post them all anyway. It will be a nice record of the year. Still mostly people I know requesting the pieces, one or two from friends of friends...I hope someday they will be seen and owned by even total strangers....

This saying is loosely based on Romans 5:8...kind of like the way it is worded. Hopefully, someone else will like it too! Cut up some more paste paper today, so will be having fun using new colors etc. Still feel like I need to make some brighter colors with more texture. Someday soon maybe!

Struggled with this one, but here it is....such as it is.  Sometimes just sitting down and lettering without any planning does not work out as well as I'd like....Amen. (Added a drop shadow which helped a bit:)

I think I am sending this to a friend who has been worrying about her husband not having a job right now.  So, it is not available, but I wanted to post it anyway for the record:) Yesterday's artwork did not get claimed...only the second one unclaimed...but both were on that paper. So I am thinking I either need to change the paper somehow, or stop using it!
